Clearwater Beach is one of the most beautiful 3 mile islands in the world. Our award winning beaches have been voted among the most beautiful beaches by Conde Nast Traveler, USA Today, “Dr. Beach” and FamilyTravelForum.com. The powder white sugar sand that you will discover here is one of the most remarkable features of our beach. This little cove in the Gulf of Mexico is calm, clean and clear.

We have one of the most diversified Marina’s in Florida. There are Fishing Charter Boats, Sightseeing Adventures, Dinner Boat Cruises, Parasailing Charters, and we even have a Pirate Ship!! We have restaurants and gift shops along the Marina and of course around the whole island. Whatever your palate is in the mood for, we have the cuisine to please your taste buds. Of course, the freshest seafood is one of our strongest attributes, and many of our restaurants have their own fishing boats that bring it in daily.

Another delightful activity is the Sunsets at Pier 60 Daily Festivals. Two hours before and two hours after sunset, 7 days a week, there is a festival at the end of Pier 60. You will find crafters and entertainers there for the whole family. Every Friday and Saturday night they show free movies in Pier 60 Park too, and all these movies are family rated.

You will be hard pressed to not find something to do. Enjoy the beautiful gulf breezes as you walk along Beachwalk, dine in the many open cafés or find one of our many luxury resorts to partake in a spa treatment. Can’t you just smell the coconut lotion now?

TripAdvisor awards recognize Tampa Bay area hotels

The Residences on Siesta Key Beach, Hyatt Residences ranked No. 18 on a list of Top 25 Hotels in the

United States included in TripAdvisor’s 2012 Travelers’ Choice Awards.

The awards program, now in its 10th year, features a handful of Tampa Bay area properties.

The SeaChest Motel in Treasure Island was ranked No. 20 on a list of Top 25 Bargain Hotels in the U.S.

Gulf Tides Inn in St. Pete Beach was ranked No. 17 on a list of Top 25 Hotels for Service in the U.S.

Clearwater Beach was ranked No. 23 on a list of Top 25 Beaches in the World.

The awards are based on feedback from users of the travel review website.

St. Pete/Clearwater, FL (February 6, 2012) - Visit St. Pete/Clearwater today announced the results of its first-ever 'Best of St. Pete/Clearwater' survey, which was designed to let locals and visitors alike determine the ultimate in area attractions and experiences.

best of 2More than 1,500 people voted in the 20-category online survey during three weeks in October. For each question, seven popular answers were presented, along with an additional write-in space for users to submit an unlisted choice.

"We know what we each like about the area, so we wanted to create a way for people to champion their favorite among favorites," said VSPC Deputy Director David Downing. "To our knowledge, this type of destination-wide survey has never been done before."

Florida is the No. 1 U.S. honeymoon destination according to the third annual Honeymoon Study by wedding media company The Knot Inc. (NASDAQ: KNOT).

Florida attracts about 8 percent of honeymooners polled, followed by California at 5 percent and Nevada at 3.
